Transformative Education
Providing inspiration in the post-pandemic world

The Anxious Generation
In his seminal book “The Anxious Generation” 2024, Jonathan Haidt points out that adolescents are in a mental health crisis with anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicide rates sharply increased, coinciding with the widespread use of smartphones and social media.
Reduced opportunities for unsupervised play have hindered children's ability to develop resilience and coping mechanisms. Overprotective parenting and safetyism limit children's exposure to manageable risks, impairing independence. At the same time prevail harmful effects from social media: social isolation from reduced face-to-face interaction; sleep disruption due to excessive screen time; fragmented attention from constant notifications; addictive behaviors encouraged by platform design.
Liquid Modernity
In his seminal book "Liquid Modernity", the philosopher Zygmunt Bauman depicts how the youth is navigating in a challenging landscape shaped by liquid modernity's instability, consumerism, and individualization. He underscores the need for systemic changes to address precarity, rebuild communal bonds, and provide better guidance and support for young people as they shape their futures.

Unemployment
Skills Deficit
Fragmented Careers
Unemployment, non-standard-employment with low wages and income insecurity, high risks faced by self-employment, fragmented careers, lack of legal and social protection is the prevailing pattern for young people, especially in less developed regions. To assist the employability of the youth and launch added values services in the cultural and tourism market, CULTiNVEST is dedicated to improve both the technology absorption and the critical mindset of young people.

Transformative Approach
Inspired by John Dewey’s Art as Experience (1934) we perceive the concept of transformation as central to understanding and learning. Dewey argues that art is not merely an object or a passive entity but a dynamic process of interaction and change involving both the creator and the perceiver. We further argue that this concept shall be applied in all educational fields, where teacher and learners will interact with ingenuity.
Applying a mix of teaching and learning methodologies, like Project-Based Learning, Gamification, Lego Serious Play and Liberating Structures, CULTiNVEST helps creating transformative learning towards rewarding employment

Human Cognitive Architecture
Inspired by Berninger and Corina's seminal research “Making neuroscience educationally relevant” 1998, we firmly believe that knowledge of human cognitive architecture is a sine qua non condition for all educators as it has the potential to enhance instructional methods, tailor interventions to individual learning needs, and improve educational outcomes by grounding practices in an understanding of brain function.
The Aristotelian Logic
Knowledge is always a traumatic process, caused by the condition of wondering, the existential upheaval of which Aristotle spoke. It means generating an imbalance and moving from a consequent imbalance to a new, more advanced and solid balance, reconfiguring the old information with the new in a new scheme.
